So... I've got some news. I am leaving the Daily Camera. My last day will be Dec. 31. There were a lot of factors that went into this decision, and I will probably elaborate down the road. But just know it was not an easy decision.

Friends still here (and can see this through the suppression): If you're looking for a better place I recommend blue sky. Twitter experience, no ads (yet), great moderation, no algo - which means it WILL take work to find your people, but it did here too. Hope to see you again.

I propose the 9-Year-Old Boy Theory of Economics: Building any machine which a 9-year-old boy would stare at in awe and fascination will lead to prosperity. It's not a perfect theory, but it does surprisingly well.
