On this day in 2000, Alaska Airlines Flight 261 crashed into the Pacific Ocean about 2.7 miles (4.3 km) north of Anacapa Island, California, after suffering a catastrophic loss of pitch control. Flight 261 was a PVR-SEA flight, with a stop at SFO.

Also, the term Breaking News is so overused that an ant carrying a grain of sand is Breaking News on CNN. Ba-Bye.

It’s been 8 weeks since I watched @CNN or @MSNBC. I watched both faithfully for years. Something changed for me on election night. I don’t think I’ll ever go back. They helped elect a clown, but I won’t watch their circus. 🤷🏾‍♂️
