@IlyaPion The gap between a working product and anyone knowing it exists is where most solo founders actually live. Building got faster but discovery did not get easier. The hard part was never the MVP.

Building products in the AI era feels almost too easy now. Cursor + Claude + modern stacks = you can ship a decent MVP in days instead of months. But getting anyone to actually see it? That’s the nightmare. Marketing, distribution, and attention are the new moats. Everyone wants to build. Almost no one wants to sell. The winners won’t be the best coders anymore — they’ll be the best at earning attention and trust. Who else feels like user acquisition is 10x harder than feature development right now? What are you currently doing to optimise this step 👇🏼

@Ferbin08 That relative positioning matters in markets too. The bull case for something often sounds strongest when compared to a weaker alternative, not on its own merit. Systematic traders learn to separate relative narratives from absolute edges.

Every $AMD bull case starts with 'if they take share from Nvidia.' The $NVDA bull case never needs to mention AMD at all.

@CiprianiRanieri Still solo here. The product needs more shape before a hire adds real leverage. Bringing someone in too early just means paying someone to watch you figure things out.

@ian_gray AI output defaults to bloat when you don't constrain it. The same model that writes 200 lines for a 20 line problem will write 20 clean lines if you give it tight specs and tell it what to leave out.

gpt-5.6 creates such bloated software, like what is it even doing?

@rachael__nelson The fintech and deep tech experience is what separates real infrastructure from thin wrappers. Building something that handles actual money flow is a different level of accountability than affiliate setups.

Not about scraping discounts Did not leave years of deep tech to build a mediocre affiliate platform Did not serve leading roles in ecom, aero & defense, consumer, and fintech to build bs

@flytradr_guy "Copy is distribution infrastructure" is such a good way to put it. I learned that the hard way too. The best product in the world can't help people if they never understand why they should care. 🚀

Founders spend hours optimizing code. Then spend 30 seconds writing the landing page. The code builds the product. The words get people to try it. Both matter.
