@RyanHanaWWP I was in Buffalo during the offseason they drafted Eichel and EVERY store at the mall was selling his jersey. Like, non-clothing stores had racks of Eichel jerseys, it was insane.

Buffalo has consistently been one of the highest viewing hockey markets in the US. Always near the top of SCF viewership when looking at nationwide markets tuned in, for example.
Not the fans' fault the Sabres have sucked. Absolutely one of the best American hockey markets.

I'm not a fancy lawyer, but this SCOTUS decision seems very broad and designed to head off WH workarounds. Imposing tariffs falls under their new "major questions" doctrine, they say explicitly there's no natsec or foreign policy exception for it, that seems like the ballgame.

@confusion_reign I really like it when the big stars make an effort to help the little guys get a larger share of the pie. I saw this arbitration as more about owner/player politics than anything, not really about Skubal or even the Tigers org really.

This was a surprise, but it reminds me of the Flaherty deal two years ago. The Tigers waited out the market and got a very attractive deal.
