Since 1969 Strassen’s algorithm has famously stood as the fastest way to multiply 2 matrices - but with #AlphaTensor we’ve found a new algorithm that’s faster, with potential to improve efficiency by 10-20% across trillions of calculations per day! dpmd.ai/dm-alpha-tensor

@patrickc Native financing option. Lots of customers that want to spread out payments, but the resulting cashflow can be challenging for smaller businesses. Affirm is complicated for the customer, AfterPay has a short payback period, and Klarna is primarily targeted at retailers.

Some animals know very well how to take advantage of human technology: this pigeon spotted in The Netherlands using slipstreams to race cars on the highway at 100 km/h is a proof bit.ly/2o94Wp4

@kenjilopezalt @arainert What are your main uses for it? My parents are advocating that we get one, but their main use case is reheating leftovers, which my fiancée doesn't find terribly inspiring given the price.

Nice to see the right-hand rule on the new 200 Swiss franc banknote. A slightly expensive way to remember it, but very useful for those of us with two left hands.
