Apparently, it now costs almost 80k to fill tank. We spent another 140k buying foodstuff, diapers and whatnots. Then Oga insisted we stop at a phone accessory shop because life apparently cannot continue without a new pouch and power bank for his laptop. Each time Oga wants to step out of the car to buy something, he will say I should keep the ac running because he doesn’t want heat to finish his kids. On top 80k fuel I just bought!!??? That one almost caused quarrel inside market. Finally, we stopped to buy bread and my card declined. Insufficient funds, so we bought only two loaves and some other unnecessary items. We got home and this man had the audacity to try and sleep after making noodles for everybody. He started complaining that he’s exhausted. I told him I must eat homemade banga soup this evening and I don’t want to hear stories that touch. He said it’s inhumane to expect him to enter kitchen after market stress. As I type this, he’s currently in the kitchen making stew and banga soup while watching Sisi Yemmie on YouTube. Baby is parked beside him in the stroller because he does not know how to use wrapper to back baby. He asked me to help look after the baby but my PCV dropped sharply after spending all that money so I need to rest as per provider that I am. I reminded him that: -the house has not been swept or mopped since morning -bedsheets need changing - there’s laundry to be done too By the way, we’ve started potty training Eden, meaning no diaper at all. This sweet child pooped on the floor and Oga is gradually losing it. Ezer too is hungry and needs feeding. Oga don hiss like one thousand times. My account balance may be flatlined, but at least somebody else is suffering with me. I’m in my neighbour’s house doing aproko. I’m waiting for night to reach so I can ask for conjugal rights. 🫠

My husband and I had a big fight yesterday. We ended it with switching roles for an entire day to get perspective on each other’s life and routine. We’re currently on our way to the market and my card is with Oga. We’ve branched a supermarket because Oga says he has cravings. He said he needs to fill his fuel tank too. Men too wicked 😭😭😭🙆🏾‍♀️

This Nigerian lady who teaches at a school in Japan broke down the Japanese style of learning that makes them very intelligent and productive. I think this is smart learning. It will be helpful to Nigerian students, if it is adopted in our educational system.✍️

@KhananiShingan1 Stay quiet, listen carefully, try to understand what they say,ask only necessary questions. When asked questions or opinion, do not give long answers that will lead to another question, make it short, try to use the terms they used in addressing the matter.

So I got my period at work today with absolutely no warning and went around asking all the women in the office if anyone had anything and nobody had a single thing. One of the guys overheard me and said he had pads in his car because he keeps them there for his girlfriend for emergencies. And then he went out to his car and came back and handed me a pastry bag. This man had put the pads inside a pastry bag so nobody would know what was in it. To save me the awkwardness of walking through the office visibly carrying pads. He thought about that. On his own. And it wasn't just one, he gave me two because I had an eight hour shift and he did that math himself apparently. I was not prepared for......

The Church is not quiet. While we prayed, danced and hoped, we equally took it to the street to voice out our frustration to the highest insecurity, injustice and corruption in our Nation.

In all these, I’ll miss my staff, Gift. Gift held it down for me. Gift understood me to the core. Gift knew the things I liked and the things I didn’t like. Gift carried the brand like it was hers. Naa, Gift carried Shopvams like it was hers. Whenever she sensed I was getting overwhelmed, she would reassure me and pray for me. Naa, Gift is truly a gift to my brand. For more than a year of working with and for me, she worked with her whole heart. She was the only one who didn’t get to experience me in my fullest kindness because of my past experiences with staff, yet she still held the brand together. Gift carried my business on her head. “Ma, don’t agree o, I won’t sell at that price.” I kept waiting for her to switch up because of my past experiences, but she was genuinely loyal and supportive. A supportive staff for real. Ahh, Gift made my business easy.

A woman entered a bus carrying a big birthday cake very carefully like it was a newborn baby. Everybody in the bus was helping her protect the cake from shaking. Even the conductor became unusually responsible. Halfway through the journey, the driver suddenly hit a pothole. The cake flew slightly. The whole bus shouted together: “AHHH!” Complete strangers were holding the cake, holding the woman, holding themselves emotionally. When she finally checked the cake and saw it was still standing, the entire bus celebrated like Nigeria had won the World Cup. Honestly, for five minutes, that cake united more people than most group projects.

@Oku_Youngx @iamAbiodunAA True, sometimes it not even about offending the person, it’s just that when they weigh a person’s level of ignorance, they had rather spend their time on better things.

A Nigerian has shared a story about her husband accident 2 months after giving birth and how she found out. Early hours of May 21, my phone rang The caller said with a tense voice "iyawo, where are you?" As a woman who gave birth less than 2 months I said "I dey house naa" She quickly cut the call, then I said to myself, she dialed the wrong number. She called back and said "I heard CJ had accident this morning o" then I remembered CJ and my husband took off for a journey! I quickly called my husband's number and someone else picked the call. I said pls give the phone to the owner, and he started forming "network is bad, I can't hear you" he ended the call and didn't pick again! I found myself with my newborn strapped on my back, going to Ibadan park! Long story short, I got to the hospital, found several friends and family, and they all shouted "who informed you!" "Where is my husband?" 😨 "He is inside, he survived but is undergoing surgery, CJ has been referred to the Teaching Hospital. Some months later they were able to walk with their legs again. Today reminds me of how God saved him and his bestie and gave them life again. God be praised 🙏 May God's protection never depart from us, Amen
