Platform risk sucks, huh? I mean yeah, of course. But at the same time everyone that takes it on knows exactly what they are getting into Personally, I've come to terms with it years ago, that GummySearch could go away at any day. The things that have stressed me out recently are not the fact that I have to shut it down, its the decisions I need to make on how to do it RIGHT Building on top of one platform comes with risk but also incredible tailwinds. You can't imagine how valuable it is to just be able to say "It's the business research tool for Reddit" and have people just get it, and want to share it with their friends Would I change anything about my approach? Yeah maybe I'd probably have diversified a bit more. Who knows, maybe it would have been better. But maybe worse. Impossible to know. But do I regret picking this risky business? Not at all. Its been a fantastic run, I've made plenty of money, and more importantly learned so much from this experience that sets me up for the next one

What I've been up to past few years: 🤑 sold my first company 🧊 tasted corporate life for a bit 📈 grew @gummy_search to 40k MRR 😬 had to shut it down for legal reasons 🐣 had my first kid (want many more now) 😎 took some time off to recharge Now I'm back to building again! - Reviving @thehiveindex with the help of AI agents - Launching a short form video insights tool soon - Cooking up something new for AI SaaS builders As always, grateful to be part of this supportive community, and the gift to build internet companies for fun & profit
