@teugays @midnightalt @emerald387 @FeedMe_Katsudon Young kids don't. They attend English only schools and watch English media. Even you use Korean in your twitter name.. obviously you're not going to use Tagalog. Because your generation doesn't care It will die. You will be monolingual English speakers.

@emerald387 @FeedMe_Katsudon I've been to the country and literally met kids that don't speak it. Despite being born and raised there All the media they consume is English, all school teaching is in English, the language they speak amongst themselves is English. It's crazy to pretend this hasn't happened

@randomjrpsv @FeedMe_Katsudon Why do monolingual English speakers exist in your country at all? And does it worry you there all from the younger generation. If they don't speak Tagalog, how will their kids, grandkids, etc? The language dies

@randomjrpsv @FeedMe_Katsudon Bro literally can't read.. I'm literally saying. Large numbers of people I spoke to literally said they could only speak English. No code switching. Just English. Monolingual.

@randomjrpsv @FeedMe_Katsudon No. Because they specifically told me (weirdly proudly??) that they can only speak English. And I literally watched people interacting, entirely in English. It's not my fault your next generation will be English speakers.

@emerald387 @FeedMe_Katsudon You do know that universities and schools force English? All the best schools in your country and English only mediums.

@followrandomacc @FeedMe_Katsudon You've never seen one in Tagalog? It's your algorithim bro. If you know how that works then you'll understand. Philippines has almost 200 languages. And yes thousands of tweets everyday using those languages.

@teugays @midnightalt @emerald387 @FeedMe_Katsudon What great Native Filipino, modern, literature is there? What songs, what films? Your fucking universities demand people only speak English on their campuses 🤣 Your schools use English. Your languages and culture produces nothing of note. Hence it's dying.

@followrandomacc @midnightalt @emerald387 @FeedMe_Katsudon english being official doesn’t mean we ‘want to be western.’ it means we’re multilingual and practical. we still have hundreds of local languages alive and used daily. also, vietnam literally uses a latin alphabet 😂

@midnightalt @emerald387 @FeedMe_Katsudon Yes. It's part of your constitution because your country wants to be western, and don't give a shit about your own culture, lol Do you think the Vietnamese would have kept French? 🤣

@FeedMe_Katsudon You can't totally stop using your own language, and happily accept you're now westernised and not expect western people to see it and have thoughts lol. I've never seen a country willingly give up its own language and culture so easily 🤣

THE King is head of the Church of England. He issued Ramadan and Eid messages, but apparently isn’t bothering with Easter this year. What the holy f***? Not ok.
