Une touche de couleur à l’urgence ! 🖼️🏥 L’attente aux urgences peut parfois sembler longue, mais l'@HME_MCH rend l’expérience un peu plus agréable grâce à son tout nouveau projet d’art thérapeutique ! Des murales interactives aux quiz, en passant par des indices cachés et un mur d’art numérique, nos petits patients peuvent ainsi s’amuser pendant leur attente. Grâce à des codes QR, ils peuvent même accéder à une application, partir en quête d’aventures et afficher leurs propres créations sur le mur vidéo de la salle d’attente. Un immense merci à la @fondChildren pour avoir rendu possible cette initiative d’art intelligent, une première du genre au Canada, qui permet d’apporter un peu de magie aux urgences de l’HME ! 🎨 — A splash of color in the ER! 🖼️🏥 Waiting in the ER can be long, but the Montreal Children’s Hospital is making it a little easier with our new healing art project! From interactive murals to quizzes, hidden clues and a digital art wall, young patients are finding joy and distraction during long waits. QR codes can even link our little patients to an app so they can join a quest and even post their art on the video-wall in the waiting room. Thank you to the Foundation for making this “smart art” the first of its kind in Canada and distracting our patients during their ER stay. 🎨

C'était la soirée grecque au #PavillonKatDemes, Chef Rosario Gurreri a fait du pastitio (lasagne grecque) pour les familles et on l'a livré avec plaisir. Aider ces familles dans ces moments les plus difficiles est très important pour nous @fondChildren It was Greek night at the #PavillionKatDemes. Chef Ross prepared pastitio (Greek Lasagna) for the familes and we happily delivered it. Helping these families in these most difficult of times is very important to us.

Le plein d’activités pour une Halloween réussie! 🎃🍬 Nos patients ont défilé dans notre couloir de bonbons costumés dans des tenues incroyables! Ils ont également eu la surprise de découvrir une maison hantée sur roues, la visite de Spiderman, ainsi qu’une imitatrice de Taylor Swift qui est passée dans les chambres pour distribuer des friandises! Nos Conseillères en milieu pédiatriques organisent ces festivités pour nos patients et leurs familles afin de créer un environnement hospitalier plus convivial et de permettre aux enfants de rester des enfants et de profiter de l’Halloween malgré leur séjour à l’@hme_mch. Merci à tous ceux qui ont contribué à rendre cette journée si spéciale et à ceux qui ont fait un don à la @fondChildren. Votre soutien permet de financer ces belles festivités.👻 — Plenty of activities for a successful Halloween at the MCH! 🎃🍬 Our patients made their way through our trick-or-treating hallway in incredible costumes! They were also surprised by a haunted house on wheels, Spiderman and a Taylor Swift look-a-like who visited patient rooms with treats! Our Child life specialists organize the festivities for our patients and families in order to help normalize the hospital environment by giving them the opportunity to still be kids and enjoy Halloween despite being in the hospital. Thank you to everyone involved in making this day extra special, as well as to everyone who donated to The Children’s Foundation. Your donation supports these activities. 👻

Le courage des familles et de leurs enfants fait que tout ce que nous faisons en vaut la peine. Merci encore à tous nos supporters. Regardez notre nouvelle murale ! 🐋 🎨 La @fondChildren a dévoilé en début de semaine la toute nouvelle fresque qui orne l'entrée de l'@HME_MCH . Représentant une baleine à bosse et son baleineau avec la silhouette de Montréal en arrière-plan, cette œuvre est composée de plus de 700 carreaux peints par des patients, des parents, des travailleurs de la santé, des artistes et des donateurs. La murale fait partie du projet « Art pour la guérison » de La Fondation, qui vise à enrichir le milieu hospitalier d’œuvres pour encourager et inspirer nos petits patients et leurs familles. Avez-vous eu la chance de la voir ? 🖌️ — Check Out Our New Mural! 🐋 🎨 Earlier this week, the Foundation unveiled a stunning new mural at the entrance of the Montreal Children's Hospital. Featuring a humpback whale and its calf with the Montreal skyline in the background, this artwork is made up of over 700 tiles painted by patients, parents, healthcare workers, artists, and donors. The mural is part of the Foundation's "Art for Healing" project, which aims to enrich the hospital environment with artwork to encourage and inspire our young patients and their families. Officially in remission since January 7, 2022, "Supergirl" will begin her first year of school this September. Once again, a huge bravo Lena!

Touched by the exceptional care they received at The Children’s, Christina and Sophia, Lena's aunt, created The Lena Fund to finance research projects on these diseases. Together with her parents, Lena also takes part in fund-raising activities.

Congratulations to little Lena, recipient of the Sandra and Alain Bouchard Foundation Nicolas W. Matossian Junior Community Award of Excellence! 👏 Lena was 21 months old when she was diagnosed with high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Avec ses parents, Lena participe également à des activités de financement. Officiellement en rémission depuis le 7 janvier 2022, « Supergirl » commencera sa première année en septembre prochain! Encore un immense bravo, Lena!

Malgré les moments difficiles, sa joie de vivre et sa résilience ont été une source d’espoir pour ses parents, Christina et Nick. Touchés par les soins exceptionnels reçus au Children, Christina et Sophia, la tante de Lena, ont créé Le Fonds Lena.

Félicitations à la petite Lena, lauréate du Prix Fondation Sandra et Alain Bouchard pour l’excellence jeunesse Nicolas W. Matossian! 👏
