I am watching the Hollywood Hills burn. Not far from my home. And I am overcome with rage and contempt that our President-elect is berating our mayor and governor rather than showing some solidarity with the citizens of this country he claims to love.

Here's a test for you: If you ran into someone on the street who had just lost everything in a fire, would you start screaming at them about water policy and forest management? Then why would you do that here?

Los Angeles received just 0.16 inches of rain since May 2024, the second-driest period on record. Wildfires are now engulfing the city in January. But some politicians still claim the climate crisis is a "hoax" as they do the bidding of Big Oil. What planet are they living on?

Southern California's water supplies are well-equipped to support local communities fighting the wildfires. Many of the state’s largest reservoirs are currently at or above their historic average storage levels for this time of year.

Okay no fcking clue what’s going on now but there’s a MASSIVE police presence like I’ve never seen right now heading east on the ten near downtown Los Angeles. I’ve never seen that long of a line of law enforcement in LA and they’re not heading towards any evacuation zone or active fire (the opposite direction actually). I have no idea what’s going on. Anyone in Los Angeles know what this is?
