@valentinavee It was my first attempt at a short. It really opened my eyes 2 so many issues and things I had no clue about (never went 2 film school, just a passion I have always had) lighting was a nightmare but thanks to you and the A team. I’m improving a lot. Thanks it really means a lot

@forest_studios This is a classic "person walks through a space and looks around" film that I've seen so many film students make. Remember that there has to be a reason for every choice, and that reason has to be tied to (1) plot or (2) character motivation or both.

@valentinavee Awesome thanks I need a better way 2 get the audience 2 connect 2 my main characters. That great feedback I never really looked at the side before. I always just try to get my characters to be doing something everyday stuff people do. But now I will try 2 connect it 2 those items

@SidneyDiongzon I use my 35 all the time but I do also like my 100mm macro lens. A bit of an odd focal length but a great lens

Anyone have backdrops tips? I can’t get this smooth, I can’t waste another hour on it

@joealley0 You could try a couple more clips on the top if you have them. Then add some heavy items on the bottom of the backdrop to help keep it pulled tight. Even if it’s large soup or tomato cans etc

@SidneyDiongzon Can you also talk about gobos (I think there called that)... in any case items you can use to make a fake window for example.

What do you wanna know about light modifiers? (soft boxes, light domes, light strips, etc...)

Does anyone know of some info on building a video lighting kit? Everything on YouTube is "Cheapest light kit" or "led vs whatever" reviews and diy light hacks. Where's the "Lights and modifiers used on these types of sets" kind of info
