I will attempt once more to get people to listen to the fact that I worked out WHY he picked the number 237. One key theme is being trapped. In a maze. In a hotel. Etc etc. trapped with the Minotaur. Their Allsopp's Best Bitter, made with classic East Kent Goldings hops, is a breakfasty affair: marmalade and cereals on the nose. Clean tasting and with some evident aeration in the mouthfeel from the sparklers, and a slight peppery tingle. Unusual high taps on those hand pumps.

I thought I'd finally give the Allsopp's pub, the Blue Stoops in Kensington a go. Yes it's a bit gastro, the interior is of course all new materials but no Farrow & Ball colours and the ceramic bar counter is nicely done.
