If you are a small carrier, and you are cheering on the SCOTUS ruling against brokers, I advise you to step back and really consider the big picture. This could be catastrophic for many small carriers and O/Os.

@dartinguphill I just took a 53 ft van from Williamsport Pa to Tempe Az with 10 pieces, less than 1k. And it wasn’t exclusive. Tried my damndest to find some ltl’s to stack more money. But nothing for my schedule

Brokers and shippers leaving so much money on the table by under loading trucks. They are paying $7 per mile but don't even fill the truck full.

@boneheadtruckrs @foster_and_me Five years ago I was in the same place as this Paul fellow. ‘Not now, maybe 20 years.’ But they’re already on the road five years later. It’s definitely happening; the question is how quickly they scale it.

Just had a very doom conversation with my friend the Volvo dealer. They’re coming for everything, boys. Might take them a little while, but in five years they want all the marbles. The best time to start making your exit plans was yesterday, the next best time is now.
