Republicans think banning abortion will force the mothers to suddenly want the child when it actually means they’re just going to find other ways to get rid of it. Allowing women who do not want to be mothers to make the choice to terminate the pregnancy before it develops into a human being is not killing children. Abortion does not kill children, but you know what does? Forcing women to give birth who do not want to be parents and then leave their babies abandoned out in the elements where they can starve or freeze to death. This is why choice matters.

In parts of the U.S., a r@pe survivor can be denied an abortion while her r@pist may still be able to claim parental rights if there’s no conviction. The system can protect a man’s connection to the pregnancy more than the woman’s right to escape it.

P.S. Thomas Massie embodied everything Trump ran on in 2016. Trump knows this and hates it. In his eyes, he must always be seen as the king. He won’t accept anything less. Massie’s record was stellar, to the point where most Americans would even say Massie is more conservative than Trump. This was one of the primary reasons he was ousted.
