Here’s a bonus point + DEFCON roundup after last night’s OPTA update: 👉🏻It looks like Bruno Fernandes sadly won’t move up to 3 bonus points. One thing I will say is I have barely seen any OPTA update for the United game. Whether it’s simply the smallest of updates or it’s yet to happen… I don’t want to get any hopes up as it’s very unusual for it to take this long! But barely a thing has changed! Anyway, why did Barkley outscore him with just one attacking return? For starters, 1 midfielder goal = 2 assists in the bps. So it comes down to their overall impact to decide. Both players contributed excellently in different areas: • Bruno created 6 chances (+6bps) and 2 big chances (+6bps). • Barkley made 4 successful tackles (+8bps) and hit the maximum pass threshold (+6bps). Bruno actually accumulated a higher positive bps total but had more negative bps actions! • Bruno was dispossessed 4 times (-4bps), had one shot off target (-1bps) and committed one foul (-1bps). • Barkley only had one negative action all game when he was dispossessed once (-1bps). 👉🏻Chris Richards kept his DEFCON. Ethan Ampadu gained DEFCON. Canvot did actually lose a valuable CBI point (-1bps) but it wasn’t enough for Richards to move up to 3 bonus. You may be wondering why Richards outscored Lacroix in the bps, despite having far fewer DEFCONs? Richards actually created 2 chances (+2 bps) and had ZERO negative actions towards his bps tally. Lacroix on the other hand had two shots off target (-2bps) and committed a foul (-1bps). Minimal stuff but makes a big difference in a tight bonus! 👉🏻Therefore all bonus points remained the same in the Palace game. 👉🏻Alisson looks set to lose his bonus point. Both Alisson and Mac Allister initially held a 2-way tie but the latter gained a valuable recovery point (+1bps). 👉🏻Finally, we had no bonus or DEFCON changes in the Forest game. A lengthy one but I wanted to go into some further detail as to why certain players missed out! Hope you made it all the way to the end 😆 #FPL
