Had an appointment Saturday in the AM to get my car looked at because of a software glitch that’s preventing it from passing the state inspection. Figured I’d get it back late Monday at the latest. This afternoon they told me what the issue (which I’d already told them) was through an automated message. No update on how long it would take to complete, just a bill that made me wish I’d been more diligent in looking elsewhere. I figured I’d have to take it to an official dealership for said fix. Whoops. My question: is this now standard for repairs at a licensed dealership? If so, how did it get to this point?

Most people are coming to the realization that many university degrees are worthless, or at least not worth 4 years of your productive life and not worth $100,000 to $200,000 in debt. Looking back at your degree, was it worth it? Or was it just a good time for a few years? Would you do it again? My degree was a complete waste of money (business school) and I ended up in a career that didn’t require it at all.
