A record investment of $4.4 billion in education includes $356.6 million in supports for classrooms in Saskatchewan. This includes $2.5 million for the continuation of the Teacher Innovation Support Fund and $2.4 million for Specialized Support Classrooms. These investments are only possible due to Saskatchewan’s strong and growing economy and our government is committed to ensuring that everyone benefits from that growth.
Students, parents and teachers all want the same things: smaller classes, less complexity, more supports. It's been done in other provinces and is not a novel concept—despite what our government says. #ISupportSTF
The provincial government has refused to address the most urgent challenges in Saskatchewan classrooms, such as class size, complexity and violence. They have left us with no other option. The clock is ticking. 🕔
