@DJyeryMoDz @financedystop It’s cheaper in theory. Your washdisher dies, you pay for a new one. When washdisher dies in rental, owner buys a new washdisher.

@financedystop Why people think a mortgage is some how different from a rent payment, you only pay like 100 to 200 dollar extra on a mortgage plus you get to keep the house

@framer @jornvandijk Is there any way to check how much has been earned so far, so I can see how much is left until I reach the first $500 threshold?

@framerius @jornvandijk There’s no need to publish your clients work publicly. You just hand off the project you worked on to them and when they upgrade you get 50% of their subscription revenue for the first year. If that total adds up to more than $500 you automatically become a pro expert.

@DanielBlancoSWE @thibaultbessonm But all those information have to be shown on a website in order for AI to be able read it from somewhere. It has to scann something.

@thibaultbessonm And you don’t see the problem with that? No ad revenue for the website, just straight up answer to the user. That’s why those websites are dead.

@framer @jornvandijk Problem is, lot of clients are under NDA so you can't publish them as your references. You may work with 10 clients a year and maybe 80% of them are NDA. That's my case for example. Going that way, I'll never have a pro expert status.

@framer @jornvandijk without need for being expert. you are not aware how many clients are being lost and how much money you lose because of the customers who ditch the Framer realising they now have to pay double price for annual subscription.

It's time for interfaces to break out of flat land. Lately, I have been experimenting with spatial experiences supported by foundational gestures. Truly feels magical.

@luke_orb 10 minutes and your arm will be so damn tired. The future is audio, voice, and commands without screens. Not waving your hand like Tony Stark in front of a display. The desire for something like this is born straight from Hollywood movie fantasies, not reality.

@pizzaboy @Affinity You will get back when you realise that now you have to pay other 4-5 tools that will overall cost you more than Adobe licence. Affinity is good, but you will miss a lot from Adobe sooner or later.

The longer I sat and looked at this, the more I realised that I probably shouldn't support such a practice (although I understand it). I'll be moving fully over to @Affinity from here on out ✌️

@JoeSzewski Is there any solution to build with AI that also creates or have wysiwyg builder that allows your customer to edit data on the website by themself?

RIP Webflow 😢🪦 There's going to be a huge wave (if not already) of small businesses moving off of Webflow (and Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress, etc.) It's just too easy to rebuilt it with AI. Also way easier to maintain once it's been rebuilt. And way cheaper. It's literally $0 to host it.

Btw, that Framer arc component was fully coded with Claude in a few minutes. Pretty crazy what's possible now for us designers. Anyone can spec components like this in plain English now. Changes what we can ship in a day :)

@Nataliatimea @framer "Simply being around more people, online and offline, sharing your work consistently". That's the key. Engrave your name into the minds of other people so they can call you when they need your services.

while I’m releasing more @framer templates for the #framerchallenge, I also want to focus more on client work. I’ve been thinking a lot about where clients actually come from and honestly, most of my best experiences came through people and relationships. - Contra brought me a lot of first meetings when I was actively focused on outreach. I didn’t close most of them, usually because someone else was a better fit or cheaper, which is completely fair. I still think there’s a lot of opportunity there and I probably need to improve my profile and positioning. - X has been amazing for building an audience and meeting other creatives, but I feel like most of my audience are creators rather than direct clients. Most opportunities I get here come through studios or agencies reaching out instead. - I also tried cold emailing brands I’d love to work with. Didn’t really get replies, but maybe I need to focus more on smaller startups where the connection feels more personal. One thing I keep noticing though is how much relationships matter. - Working with other creatives has probably been the most rewarding part of all of this. Doing client calls together, combining different skills, building things with friends, it makes the whole process way more exciting. Even recently, when I hired a marketing strategist, an animator, and a sound designer, all of those decisions came from connection first. I already knew them through events and mutual friends. I liked their energy, their passion, and the way they approach their craft. So maybe the answer is simply being around more people, online and offline, sharing your work consistently, talking to people genuinely, and building real relationships over time. What's your biggest piece of advice on booking clients? Week 5 income update: +850$ 14.042$ to go
