@leonardaisfunE I’ve always thought Cenk is a good guy even though I have many differences with him. He clearly has a conscience.
English

I know Cenk should be my tribal, mortal enemy but he’s cooking right now.

Cenk Uygur@cenkuygur
Charlie Kirk's mentor just died in a freak pickleball accident. That's an incredibly strange coincidence. If you're going to say that's not weird, that there are tons of pickleball fatalities, you sound nuts. I don't know what happened but I don't think this is perfectly normal.
English

@lambdacalcc Even still, definitely better to be at the higher end of the zone rather than the bottom. If you make 200k+, but live like you make 100k, you’ll quickly have more than enough.

@newstart_2024 And of course it's ALWAYS the woman who has to ruin her life for this-- it's NEVER the man staying home changing diapers on screaming children 24/7 with no adult contact?

Jordan Peterson drops a truth most modern families don’t want to hear:
“Daycare under three — especially in the first year — is really not advisable. There isn’t any form of care that can replace a mother’s care in those early years.”
He calls it “quite remarkable” that we’ve engineered a world where staying home with young children has become a luxury for most families — “as if by design.”
Decades of research (still largely unchanged) shows the critical attachment window in the first 3 years is uniquely supported by consistent, responsive maternal care. Disruptions here correlate with measurable increases in stress reactivity, behavioral issues, and later emotional difficulties.
The question we’re afraid to ask: Have we made motherhood incompatible with economic survival on purpose?
Parents (especially moms of young kids): Do you feel this pressure — that staying home feels like a luxury you can’t afford?
Or have you seen the difference in your own children between early daycare vs. being home those first years?

Psychological scientist J.D. Haltigan told me the feminine impulse to be empathetic has been weaponized.
“We’ve come to basically hijack the feminine ethic of care.”
“And if a society becomes completely feminine, all kinds of chaos will ensue.”
“Because you don’t have any sort of rule-based, lawful, statistically-minded, quantitatively-focused orientation to why we have laws, why we have rules, why we need order, why we need immigration law, and so forth.”
“Masculinity is what will track, personality-wise, with systemization, and femininity is sort of the analogy with empathization.”
But this feminization has become dominant in many areas of society with major effects.

@Coach_Yac I honestly think #1 just based on the rules of the game. If he has 7 more 4k yard seasons for instance he already gets it. He's 26, he'd be 33 by then. That really isn't that crazy.
English

@Coach_Yac 10 if they're all healthy, 4 otherwise. Gotta bring in at least one promising rookie into this mix imo.

@Microinteracti1 Game studios spend a tiny fraction of that money to build much more impressive worlds. This always felt like web dev douchebag learned about WebGL and thought he could transform the world because web devs are sooooo smart
English

Eighty billion dollars. Gone. To build a digital ghost town where legless cartoons stood around doing nothing, because Mark Zuckerberg looked at Facebook – a website people use to congratulate their guinea pig on its birthday – and thought: what this needs is a worse version of reality.
He was wrong. Historically, catastrophically, trouserlessly wrong.

@cenkuygur Greed will destroy our country sadly. They have sold out the country for money
English

@cenkuygur @ForecasterEnten 100% of Trump sycophants agree with him 100%. This is the news and it’s very intelligent.
English

I generally like @ForecasterEnten, but that segment on the biggest bullshit poll of all time was unacceptable - and disingenuous framing. An NBC poll asked people who still call themselves MAGA if they like Trump, and they all said yes. Of course!! That's circular logic. What he didn't tell you was that half of Republicans who no longer call themselves MAGA are against the war.
Unfortunately, there's a reason for this framing. It's to encourage Trump - don't worry, MAGA hasn't broken with you! Keep going deeper into the war! Keep listening to Israel - you're so popular with your base when you embrace Mark Levin. Don't listen to anti-war voices - they don't matter at all!
The idea that the millions of people who listen to @TuckerCarlson, @megynkelly, etc. are 100% behind this war and what Trump is doing now is preposterous. In fact, it's an active effort to deceive.
Very disappointing, especially from a guy who is supposed to be all about numbers and context. That was a huge and ridiculous failure.
English

@BowTiedRanger This is retaliation plain and simple. Trump needs to go.
English

Why would you keep someone in a national security position who was under active investigation for leaking classified information?
Make it make sense 😂 😂
Disclose.tv@disclosetv
JUST IN - Joe Kent, under FBI investigation for allegedly leaking classified information.
English

@libsoftiktok Lmao this administration is so corrupt. It's all so Orwellian
English

@cenkuygur @TuckerCarlson Weird how in Trump's first terms the calls for impeachment were so loud and now nothing from the supposed opposition party
English

Joe Kent conveniently under investigation now. @TuckerCarlson potentially under investigation. We've moved on from the propaganda portion of our programming to outright oppression. National media will pretend it's a total coincidence that opponents of the war are being targeted.
English

I wonder if this guy Joe Kent was about to be fired but quickly resigned first. That's how these things typically work. He's part of that radical isolationist Woke Right cabal. Watch how the leftwing media use him to attack the president and the military campaign against Iran. In part, that's why he wrote that letter. I wonder if he was one of the leakers in the administration. Just asking questions.
English

@voxdotcom Tfw you get paid to say dumb shit so you look like a fucking retard

Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.
After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.
English

@MLiamMcCollum All of it was and always has been in service of making money. GREED.
English

There was an unprecedented coalition made up of traditional conservatives, MAHA supporters, libertarians, young Americans who listened to Joe Rogan and Theo Von, former Democrats like Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr., and so many other non-traditional Republican voters.
And all of that was sacrificed for a small group of Never Trumpers like Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro, who supported Ted Cruz in 2016 and Nicki Haley or Ron DeSantis in 2024.
