Rolling Stone Magazine: ''Prince is an average guitar player.'' Prince: "Hold my beer...''
George Harrison poured his heart into writing it.
Eric Clapton gave it that unforgettable solo.
And then Prince stepped up and played it like the song was his own soul crying through the guitar.

BREAKING: Legendary rocker Neil Young sounds the alarm: “Wake up people!” as Trump “destroys America bit by bit.”
Music legend Neil Young may have been born in Canada, but he’s mostly lived in the United States since the 1960s — and finally gained American citizenship in 2020. Despite not being born here, Young has always cared deeply about this country and hasn’t been shy about expressing his political opinions when the circumstances warrant.
When the Ohio National Guard massacred nine unarmed students at a rally protesting U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War at Kent State University in 1970, Young responded by writing the classic Crosby, Still, Nash, & Young song “Ohio” and rushing to record and release it within weeks of the slaughter it condemned.
In the wake of the shooting earlier this week in Minneapolis of an unarmed middle-aged mother by a reprehensible ICE agent, Neil Young is outraged by yet another act of senseless political violence, and he isn’t mincing words.
In a blistering editorial posted to his website, Young looks out his window and sees what he calls “the biggest mess I’ve ever witnessed, right here in the United States, this great country I have believed in for decades.”
His verdict is unmistakable: “Wake up people! Today The USA is a disaster.”
Young lays the blame squarely at Donald Trump’s feet, writing that Trump is “destroying America bit by bit with his staff of wannabes, people with no experience or talent,” and an administration held together by loyalty to “Trump falseness” rather than competence, conscience, or truth. He doesn’t spare congressional Republicans either, calling it “a Congress full of Republicans acting like idiots with no conscience.”
“Yes,” Young writes bluntly, “He has divided us.” And then the question that hangs over the entire piece: “How did we elect these creeps who have no spine, no values, no conscience, no way to save the USA.”
But Young isn’t just venting — he’s warning. He urges Americans to take Trump at his word when he chants “Make America Great Again,” cautioning that it won’t happen “while he is trying to turn our cities into battlegrounds so he can cancel our elections with martial law and escape all accountability.”
The noted musician’s imagery is chilling. “It’s ICE cold here in America,” Young writes. “There was no ICE before Trump. No soldiers in the streets before Trump. Every move he makes is to build instability so he can stay in power.”
And yet, even in fury, Young turns to hope — and action.
“Something has to change this. We know what to do. Rise up. Peacefully in millions. Too many innocent people are dying.” As Young sang in “Ohio,” we have to ask ourselves: “How many more?”
He closes his commentary with a plea rooted not in rage, but in humanity: “He knows nothing about love. He does not know who you are. Use your love of life, your love of one another, your love of children, yours and theirs and ours. Peacefully. Now.”
From a voice that has chronicled generations of American struggle, this is not just a protest song in prose form. It’s a siren. Neil Young is telling the country to wake up — before it’s too late.
How many more indeed!
Please like and share to spread Neil’s perspective!
