💗 Sharing love for our customer, @productboard
🏢 Productboard needed to provide fine-grained access control for their enterprise customers.
🔬 The eng team found Oso, did a competitive evaluation of multiple options, and in just 3 weeks made the move to Oso!

Intercom was one of the first to seriously invest engineering cycles into @honeycombio for their high cardinality telemetry problems. Neat to see them still picking winners out of the waves of new startup tech with @osohq. ☺️(full disclosure, I'm an advisor)

Cool to see Intercom listed as a case study here (along with a quote from yours truly) - authorization is very boring now for us, thanks to @osohq osohq.com/post/who-is-us…

@t3dotgg I would also never recommend interacting w/ a DB directly from the client, but I'd like to point out that RLS doesn't have to be super complicated to manage, I made this tool recently that provides a way to do it in a declarative way github.com/cfeenstra67/sq…

To make it VERY clear - Supabase is my preferred service for Postgres. I just can’t recommend client side JS that interfaces directly with a database
Paul Copplestone - e/postgres@kiwicopple
"As great as supabase is as a product, this is one of the biggest flaws it has." another friendly reminder: Supabase is just Postgres. You can literally connect to with it with any tech stack that supports Postgres. RLS is not required. Stored procedures are not required.

@alanaagoyal I would read all the Robert Caros first! Then Walter Issacsons.

“Every third party offering had certain aspects that made it shine but nothing really did it all well... until we ran into Oso Cloud. It just does everything.” — Adam Lee, Chief.
