for example: "why aren't you using godot?" idk, for like a gazillion reasons? most of which have nothing to do with godot and is almost entirely due to history and preferences, can you be more specific? ;-; I'm guessing people are asking either: • how come you're still using unity after the runtime fee debacle? • have you evaluated godot as a game engine? • do you think godot is a good engine for your projects? • what do you like about unity, and why do you use it? • how dare you support big evil corporations instead of the lil open source guy? I don't like guessing what you're asking! I feel like that's your job as the one asking you know c:

"why didn't you [X]?" is often such a wonky question filled with assumptions, it throws me off so much like, I generally don't *choose* to not [X], I just decided to [Y], which just so happens to have excluded [X], consciously or otherwise

I did a quick 2 hour test with shadow map trace to adjust fog factor to get volumetric feel. Not realistic fog lighting and no artist involved. Also it seems that we have fireflies in our fp16 lighting. Seems to be on edges, so could be fresnel or GGX. Need to investigate.

@filedescriptors Blender 2.8 onwards is one of the big open source success stories as far as I'm concerned. That said, I believe improvements would come from listening to those who are just jumping in. There remains a barrier in UX and basic functions that goes beyond mere lack of tutorials.

Delaney seemingly spent a couple of weeks learning Blender, got very frustrated, and then concluded that mesh selection was broken. The only real feedback that I see here is that it is very hard to transition to Blender when you've used another 3D software for many years.

Tässä on ehkä konkreettisin yksittäinen tapa yhteisöille vaikuttaa luonnon lajiemme säilymiseen. #Pelimetsä teki #Luonnonperintösäätiö’lle sen historian suurimman yksittäisen lahjoituksen, lähes 500 000€. Sillä suojeltiin luonnontilaista metsää 130 hehtaaria.

@ElinaLappalaine @annaperho Ajatuksena hieno, mutta kannattaa huomioida, että tuolla summalla ei sadasta hehtaarista saa korkeintaan kuin kolmasosan. Jos käyvän arvon mukaan puustoista "aarniometsää" haluaa ostaa.
