Mets are playing a dangerous game of chicken w Alonso. He is the only viable option (outside of an unforeseen trade) that can complement Soto. Just get it done. Has to happen.

@sideshowbrady @PelsTradeHub the issue isn't that he's shooting a low percentage, the issue is that he's not taking them. No doubt in my mind Herb will make his shots over the course of the season, issue so far is that his stars aren't getting shots for him.

@pelscoverage Dejounte wasn’t a role player any of the last 5 years (the 5th year is MAYBE an argument). Regardless, last 3 years BI would be at 23/5/6 on 48/35/84 to Dejounte’s 21/6/7 on 46/35/80 on inferior teams AND more shots per game.

Since BI has been in New Orleans, he’s averaged: 23/6/5 on 47/37/85 splits. Dejounte in that same timespan: 18/6/6 on 46/35/80 splits. Fans are dying to get rid of one, rejoicing at trading for the other lmaooo
