As many schools return from Spring Break, create the culture you want to work & learn in. Every person has a responsibility & ability to influence & support. Look for ways to lighten the load, express gratitude & make fun. #trustteachers

School culture is not created by a mission statement on a wall, but it is created and lived out daily by everyone in the school working together, supporting each other, and dedicated to being their best.

@vincentdonofrio Someone explained this to me as people have different sized plates but everyone can feel like their plate is overflowing. I can handle a bigger plate than some, being stretched to the breaking point is always tough.

If you care to you'll understand that life is hard for all. Some dress it up better yet they are suffering. And from time to time they are not. A human experience. Don't resent people for suffering less. Have empathy for all who suffer. And hope that their blissful times grow

Educational leaders, you have many responsibilities & your workload overflows. I get it. Remember how much power you have & use it to support, care & protect your educators. This requires focus but the investment is worth it. Push back on poor policies & practices. #trustteachers

When teachers are supported encouraged, appreciated, and feel valued, it is amazing how little turnover there is with staff.

Education is not student centered, but it is relationship centered. Principals who build relationships with teachers will get their best & teachers who build relationships with students will get their best.

One of the greatest parts of being a principal is getting a glimpse into different classrooms. German with @fraumcp is an engaging, joyful, challenging, and safe space for students to take risks.
