Destiny confession: my first flawless in destiny 2 was when i was like a .6 lfg'd with my buddy and a cheater joined us.. i didn't even realize he was cheating till like game 4 when he turned it up against real players but i didn't say anything cuz i wanted flawless 😭😭

@xboxer214 Personally I dont think jiggle peeking a wall is like "peak skill expression" like most people think. Hcs have never not been viable, I do however agree with you that smg metas are miserable. Personally the game is most fun when there isnt a clear defined hard meta

From my experience, even when hcs were meta, everything else is still viable, but when we had pulse rifle metas, scout rifle metas, smg metas, it's genuinely just a miserable experience because either people are sitting so far back with NTTE or Dmt that they might as well be on a different map, or you're getting beamed and dying in Recluse level ttd by an Immortal. Hcs also have a lot more skill expression and depth than other guns, making them more satisfying to use and makes you want to master them.

Crucible was as its best and most balanced only when hand cannons were "meta". Every other time a gun is meta, the game becomes a boring snooze fest of either who can sit back harder with a pulse/scout, or how fast are you gonna get beamed by an smg.

@PaladinDoesD2 personally found it boring and corny because I hate star wars so found it impossible to care about any of the dlc, and I fear thats how a lot of people feel unfortunately.

Renegades as a concept and in execution was so incredibly good and if it had a raid it would probably be considered one of the best expansions in the franchise's history.

@casualblu3 Couldn't agree more! My team have realised we just don't win these kinds of engagements but win almost every mid to long range encounter we have.

I'm not sure what Bungie should do, but the bubble/slick mag/Mizzy meta isn't very fun in Cryo. People are blaming the guns, because that's what kills them, but I don't think that's the issue. ​The real problem is still bubble availability (and also Recon wallhack uptime with energy amps and running two Recons in a squad...). ​Bubbles completely go against Bungie's stated design for the game: "One of our core philosophies for Marathon is that rapid repositioning and aggression must always have a meaningful cost." Bubbles just nullify that cost because they act as a "get out of bad positioning free" card. ​Right now, Cryo feels like: ✅ Pop wallhacks ✅ Slide-rush with a shotgun ✅ Pop a bubble because you’re out of position 🔄 Repeat until everyone's dead. ​I'm not sure what the fix is, but the best metas are varied metas. ​Maybe make EMPs a hard bubble counter? Maybe if you throw a bubble onto another bubble, it breaks the first one? IDK, but I still think bubbles are the root of all evil.
