@HertsGTFC I also think we will. Purely because this lot wouldn’t dare follow tonight up with a home loss to Barrow - then it’s just about seeing it through away against Crewe and I expect (hope) certain other results to go our way. Best of luck - hopefully we don’t meet in the playoffs 🤣

Cambridge United 1-2 Grimsby Town. Agonising. Can’t really believe that given the chances we had - but we go again on Saturday. Fair play to Grimsby who came with a game plan, stuck to it and were ruthless when the chances came. Great travelling support as well. #GTFC #CamUTD

@HertsGTFC Story of our season really. So many positives across 90 minutes but too often not enough to see out a game - although there is obviously a reason we are where we are in the table. Tricky one. You must be delighted with your lot’s performance.

@JulianTyer73060 Yep I did note that before kickoff. Might have been a better showing from your lot if you were at full strength - but depth is so important at this level and if you can’t do it without your stars then some would say you don’t deserve it anyway.

@freddieowers Admittedly we were beyond shite today and made you look good , no taking away you played well but we have been without 6 first choice players for a few weeks now and just seem to be limp along,still a chance of autos but playoff ms more realistic.

It’s mad how the EFL can sort a vote to increase the promotion opportunities for Championship clubs to the PL - yet still nothing on a second automatic place from the National League to L2. No club promoted from the NL to L2 has ever come straight back down…

Absolute madness to me that you can finish closer to midtable than the automatic spots, and still go up via a knockout format. Lots of Championship clubs without parachute payments will vote for this out of self-interest, and TV companies want the jeopardy to create more drama and get more views. But it feels artificially manufactured, without considering that football got views in the first place based on it being a serious competition built on sporting merit.

Newport County 0-2 Cambridge United. Scrappy first half, battered them in the second. In the end clear to see why both teams are on polar ends of the table. A couple of other results going our way makes the win all the more sweet. 13 huge games to go, roll on autos. #CamUTD
