Fast walkers have strong calf muscles, which are the primary circulatory pumps in the body (not the heart).
Rudolf Steiner describes the heart as a sensory apparatus that adapts to the rate of blood flow rather than determines it.
Reminds me of that Аlеx Jоnеs quote:
“My heart's big, it's got hot blood going through it fast.”
By walking a lot you’re mechanically increasing your metabolic rate (and your intelligence/development) by speeding up the rate of oxidation and oxygenation.
I’d personally always prioritize living in a walkable environment over a suburban ‘drive to the gym’ setting.

Fast walkers have higher IQ & larger brains than slow walkers.

#dkpol #dkmedier

@AJA_Cortes @thesamparr Search barcelona tendonitis - amazing pdf on how fc barcelona approach achilles issues - with some of the leading experts in the field - isometrics good for pain management
English

Hi Sam,
this may sound overly reductionist, but have you ever utilized consistent isometrics?
Not calf raises or heel, but just heavy isometrics by themselves
For the achilles tendons specifically, this would be holding heavy, supermaximal loads for 30 seconds, 4 sets
This can be done every other day
-I dont promise miracles, but its possible a simple physical stimulus to strengthen the tendon+muscle attachment, combined with a peptide (BPC157)
It may solve your issue,
Ocams razor, sometimes the simplest solutions are most effective

To my running nerds, doctors, therapists, health nerds:
I have chronically tight calves. Which causes tons of achilles pain.
MRIs show achilles tendonitis.
Prevents me from running consistently. Been this way for 10 years.
I've tried everything: losing weight, heel drops, night splints, stretching, needling, percussion gun, diff shoes.
Is there ANYTHING that help solve this?
I've read tons of research/papers - can't find good answers.
I'm a former D1 400m runner. I'd kill to be able to run long distances or sprint like I used to!

@thesamparr Search "barcelona tendonitis" Google. Go heavy as suggested & maybe try isometrics for pain management
