@sherrod_im Having technical CISOs (especially ones that were former security practitioners) is a HUGE competitive advantage for companies.

I’m dropping hot takes about how I think CISOs should be technical on LinkedIn. It is not being well received by the business first bourgeoisie.

@thomasschiavone @yashar I know you Thomas and I know you’re smart enough to understand Oakland (and the wider Bay Area’s) crime is more nuanced and complex. Also, why do you think Oakland needs a ceasefire? Do we have large organized militaries here?

@yashar These people are sick in the head. Oakland should first figure out how to have a cease fire on the streets of its own city. Leave the international politics for the appropriate elected officials.

Last night the Oakland City Council voted on a resolution to call for a ceasefire. A city council member tried to insert language condemning Hamas. This was the reaction…

@tomerlondon @yashar I’ll host you in Oakland if you think it’s really as bad as the media portrays. Keep in mind the political landscape of the US as well which highlights crime in more “black and brown” cities (e,g, Oakland) vs crime in more “white” cities or sections of cities (e.g. SF).

@SunPower This is ridiculous that the only times I get an inkling of customer service are the times when I post online. SunPower attributes their higher prices vs competitors like @Sunrun to SunPowers support. There has been no support or project management though.

Wow… can you believe that it’s been over 12 months since I initially signed a contract with @SunPower and I still don’t have a working install? Do not use this company - they do not stand by their work.

@SunPower And they still won’t return calls or emails. If there are people happy with @SunPower, bless them. I deeply regret ever choosing them though and would never do so again.

And I haven’t even gotten into all of the damage @SunPower has caused to my house. They destroyed my roof; caused a MASSIVE leak in my house; destroyed one of the bedrooms that required us to evacuate; and destroyed thousands of dollars in computer and photo equipment.

My horrible journey with @SunPower continues. It's now over a year since signing and I have NO solar working. I do have one completely demolished room in my house thanks to @SunPower. Now @SunPower refuses to even respond to communications. Do NOT USE @SunPower! cc @KQED

Oh wow! This is very similar to my experience with @SunPower (@kqed). Even though I signed a contract and paid for SunPower in June 2022, I still do not have anything installed. Instead I have a GIANT hole in my roof, massive water damage, black mold, and electrical shocks.

@SunPower I shouldn’t have had to reach out via Twitter after over 4 months of this issue. It’s sad that @SunPower is both the MOST EXPENSIVE option and the LEAST RELIABLE provider. I hope others learn from my mistake and avoid @SunPower at all costs.

@SunPower After over 4 months of trying to get this massive leak in my roof fixed, I've lost confidence in @SunPower to even attempt to fix.

@SunPower Every escalation has resulted in @SunPower just ignoring me. Even though a crew was supposed to be here first thing this morning, no one even bothered to call. Weather is perfect for work but @SunPower has no desire. Now I'm heading to the doctor regarding the mold/lung damage.

It's sad because I believe in solar and the benefits. However, @SunPower is clearly not a vendor that can be relied upon. I paid for a large number of panels and two of their batteries. All I have now are medical bills related to black mold from their bad work.

I've had 3 different “project managers” during that time. I'm now sitting with over 6 figures of damage to my home and @SunPower refuses to even fix their mistakes. Massive mistake and would not recommend ever using their services.
