We can't be both sovereign and governed at the same time. You're either free or enslaved, not both. Anarchy is freedom. And there are definitely rules in an anarchist world. They are built into Nature, and they are simple:
Do not harm other sentient beings.
Do not take what doesn't belong to you.
All Rights are Property Rights, and not all property is materialistic:
Your body and mind are your property.
Your life and well-being are your property.
Your skills and labor are your property.
Your Rights and Freedom are your property.
Any "law" that infringes upon these things are claims of ownership. You are not owned by anyone except YOU.
So... how do we have a peaceful and free existence under anarchy? DON'T STEAL. Recognize the sovereignty of others and don't infringe upon their Rights just to secure your own personal comforts. Live and let live. Do no harm, but take no shit. Or as the Golden Rule states, in the apophatic:
"Don't do unto others what you wouldn't want done unto you."
"Government" doesn't make the world go round, everyday people do. "Government" is just a fairy tale. It's a religious belief. YOU are real. You have the capacity for higher consciousness, conscience, and care. You have the mind capable of discovering Natural Law and the gift of free will to align with it. You don't need "authority" for that.
There is only one true Authority, and man is not it. Man is the usurper, not the Author or Creator. Our job is to discover and abide by Natural Law, and then to evolve in consciousness as sovereigns, and as co-creators of our shared human experience. We're all this together whether we like it or not.
We completely missed the point of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It represented Natural Law, Morality, Conscience. We were supposed to acknowledge and abide by that inherent truth. Instead, we thought "no, I'll decide what good and evil are and become just like God." That was the eating of the fruit. It's time to spit it out and return to Eden.
We can rebuild the Garden... if we want to. Conscience is key. Natural Law is key. And that's true Anarchy. The more moral we become, as a species, the more free we become. That's the equation. That's the rule.
