We're proud to announce the addition of an ELITE FIELD to our 2024 marathon and international half-marathon! 2-time winner, Zach Ornelas (@once_a_runner) has joined our race org to lead our elite division. Get ready - the state's premier race is about to get better and faster!

@hollerbach We do our best to notify all of the neighborhoods we know will be impacted by the route but ultimately we do not have control over what roads the police deem necessary to close for runner safety. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The @FreepMarathon planning & community notice was awful. Entire blocks & housing complexes barricaded w little notice by aggro police+ their vehicles, ppl unable to get groceries, access family to deliver meds, etc. The route should never include loops that trap neighborhoods.
