@reidhslaughter @_HMSP There’s a reason Americans usually go out for hamburgers and fries. It’s not very economical or convenient to make on a small scale. There are other meals that are better suited for home cooking. They don’t require a deep fryer.

People who advocate for home-cooking are comparing apples to oranges. They never compare the cost of ingredients to make a dish vs that same dish at a restaurant. The always compare some slop to a dish at a restaurant. For example, the cost of the ingredients to make two double cheese burgers, french fries and some pop at the grocery store exceeds the cost of buying those same items at any fast food joint, even expensive ones like Culvers or 5 Guys. They never compare the home cooked version of the fast food. They always advocate for some slop you'd never order in a restaurant but is technically cheap like Hamburger Helper. We're Americans, we have standards.
