Hi, I am Jeremy or Zombie or ZTV. This is a master thread for all my writing that I still think is good.

The argument being made in this animation is that the fascists see the people they interact with daily as on par with/in the same boat as them, while the non-fascists (for whom the narrator is speaking) see the fascists as guilty of insufficiently pursuing justice. This argument is post-moral. It’s really a question about how large a person’s sphere of concern ought to be. Do you 1) do the best you can for yourself and your family given the avenues available to you, or do you 2) act in a way that acknowledges that the decisions you make either prop up or work against structures of exploration? The unfortunate reality here is that this decision is a temperamental one that is largely made for you by nature/nurture before you reach the age where your most significant actions are even up to you. You can’t, with information alone, create a non-fascist as it is defined by the majority of leftists. A significant number of people will never be global thinkers who take local action. This is a temperamental divide masquerading as a divide that is ideological.

This new War on Empathy differs from the zen fascism @cushbomb pointed out from the first Trump admin. This chapter of the War is less about enjoying the bounty of empire and more about the coming scarcity at the end of empire and why you'd be a fool to share with your neighbors

@maxepriest @SecretSunBlog Smells Like Teen Spirit actually came out weeks before U-Mass. Seems like the songs were written at about the same time. Black Francis says that he’d had the riff for years before U-Mass was completed, but I don’t know how Cobain would have heard it or if that’s even true.

Kurt Cobain always cited The Pixies, but "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is clearly just a minor-key rewrite of "World Shut Your Mouth." @gregkellyusa Every single tattoo I have represents something or someone. My back is full of tattoos that represent family members that have passed. I don't get them to be distinct and special. 99% of my tattoos are not even visible unless I have a bathing suit on.

What the hell is up with all of these TATTOOS everywhere? “Back in the Day” only Sailors got them when they were DRUNK in the Philippines. Then it became a “Thing” with STRIPPERS in the 90s. Now I see Dentists, Teachers, Nurses, Interns all TATTED UP. My Theory: It’s an Easy, quick way to feel Distinctive and Special, WITHOUT actually doing the WORK to be Distinctive and Special. Too much “Ink” and Selfies, Not enough GRIT. #tatsaresilly

I’ve been arguing with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” for months now and it has yet to adopt a more nuanced view of men and masculinity. In fact, it continues to sound essentially identical to the way it was when our debate first began. At this point, I almost feel stupid for arguing with a song.
