@yeagersimp he’s definitely not innocent and he knows that. he knows how horrible of a person he became through the years. it’s honestly too complex to dive down that rabbit hole and i don’t have energy to explain why 😭

We need to stop completely treating Armin like he's innocent and can do wrong and everything about him is just sunshine and rainbows like please show me the side of him that we barely see cause I see other characters having/being given a so-called "darkside" like show me his!

@the_real_s0nata i think about this but also i’m thinking of how annie reciprocated to armin’s feelings. she never seemed to care for bertolt, when it’s so obvious to anyone that he loved annie. i believe there was influence, but als im trying to understand annie’s romantic feelings to both

The jokes about his name get really redundant really fast. Also I wholeheartedly believe that his feelings for Annie affected Armin.

@kaideeyy i think my unease with him is when he truly showed how he felt during the time he burnt armin to a crisp. maybe it’s just me but the way he talks during that made me see him in an arrogant way. but yet again, we know nothing about his past and that’s why it’s difficult

People forget he was the first to truly understand the cycle of hatred. He fought Paradis without hating them, knowing the problem was the world itself not them. He has both a great mind and a big heart.

@ilybonten 2/2 bertolt was nothing but a follower. i don’t think we even know enough about him at all to see why he even fell in love with annie. all we were able to see is how clearly arrogant of a being he truly is and that he just didn’t care about killing innocent people

@ilybonten i think because of how complex of a character she is the reason why she fell for armin because he had a deep understanding of in and out. his character molds so much with annie, especially when it became to each of their self hatred they had in themselves. 1/2

not an opinion but i wonder what she saw in armin that she didn't find in bertholdt cuz i'm an aruani shipper and i don't like beruani AT ALL but i find it surprising that she fell for someone from the "enemy nation" and not the guy she grew up with & shares trauma with 😭😭

the reason she is so hated is because she has traits usually reserved in fiction for men. if she was a man, she would be widely considered as redeemable. but as she's a woman, people want her to grovel and beg for forgiveness which wouldn't even fit her character anyway
