just to close the loop on the @hertz issue, they made it right and refunded us for our troubles..

@Hertz @Tesla @nbcwashington and for anyone wondering, we have talked to 3 @Hertz customer service reps who gave us different reasons that we were responsible for the fee, we emailed and they're telling us it was a "non-mechanical" issue when we clearly have evidence otherwise!

@Hertz @Tesla i will be reaching out to the @nbcwashington nbc4 responds team to see if they can help us get @Hertz to explain why we are responsible for this cost when their basic roadside assistance clearly states that they cover mechanical defects hertz.com/us/en/blog/res…

i have literally never been more disappointed and frustrated with a customer service experience as i am right now with @Hertz, my wife and I rented a @Tesla and received an error that wouldn't allow the car to restart and hertz is charging us for the tow!

How does a car with 38% shutting down due to an error message not be deemed a MECHANICAL issue?

@Hertz please explain to me how a rented Tesla with 38% battery left can show a “vehicle may not start” error then shut down completely. And be deemed a “Non mechanical issue” after towing and charging me $180. Leaving me stranded in the rain in LA late to my flight? How?
