@Hammarton I honestly don’t know how much longer I can do it. There a so many things I absolutely love about the job but the constant undervaluing and lack of respect is outweighing the joy. I wish I knew what to do. I’ve tried so hard & opened the conversations but they go nowhere.

@frizzyal Theatre, the only industry where experience counts for nothing except producers hoping they can get a better job done for less money spent and less time allocated.

Can we talk about the total lack of reward for skills & experience in theatre. Been offered a London job. Rate of pay is £1.14 p/h above the London Living Wage. I’ve been working in the same role across tens of dozens of productions for 22 YEARS. Apparently this means nothing.

@SMAssoc Can we also remind them that Company Stage Manager on the Book is not a safe, sensible or fair way to staff a happy production!

I have just seen an early screening of #Matilda the new musical film. I am truly gobsmacked. It is by far the most magical 2 hrs I have spent in a cinema in years.Feel good , good vs evil, for the whole family.Many tears were shed & I could watch it all again now …

Just seen the film adaptation of @MatildaMusical. It’s absolutely brilliant. Congratulations to everyone who has been involved in bringing the story from the original text to stage and now to film. It’s glorious.

My favourite film of all time. If you don’t like it we can’t be friends.
