A Maui doctor accused of attempting to murder his wife admitted to trying to kill her while on a hike, his son told a jury Tuesday. Prosecutors allege Gerhardt Konig tried to push his wife, Arielle Konig, off a cliff, attempted to inject her with a syringe and hit her in the head with a rock last year. He has pleaded not guilty.
