seeing 13yos called babies is so infuriating as an educator. this is the primary reason there’s a resiliency crisis happening right now-everyone is proudly raising Adult Babies, setting their children up for failure, and then writing think pieces about why they won’t move out.

@HighHeelEsquire She is THIRTEEN. If she was 16 or 17, yes this would be crazy overbearing. What are they doing at just 13 they don’t want the mom to see? She’s too young to be totally unsupervised. I don’t think this is too much at all. They’re babies.

This is how you end up with an adult who can’t order a coffee on their own.

@electionsjoe I understand the sentiment, I really do, but I’m not sure how you square this with the fact that nearly all scientific research in medicine is heavily funded by private industry that would not otherwise be funded if profit were not at least part of the motive.

@OluwaSoLove Im sorry but ive had to cut off every person ive become "friends" with because they turned out to be terrible and pretty toxic, im doing much better without them than with them. Why would i keep someone harmful in my life?

Gen Z has a lot of resentment from having failed friendships/relationships & also having poor conflict resolution skills, making the loop of anger continuous. Just to be clear, cutting people off isn’t healing.

@AuthorialGail Why as a trans person do i have to be associated with ballroom culture, some of the tackiest mean girl shit that routinely excludes or caricatures actual trans people. Most lgbt culture is not related to ballroom culture

Amusing how the disdain for ballroom slang and the preference for 4tran shit is the difference between actually performing something vs being mad about your denied gender “inheritance” ala genes/whiteness

@chzbrgrg I guess I can’t argue with that, im not gonna go out of my way to bully people in their spaces though im also gonna object to the people who start to try to rope it into queer identity. also this goes w/o saying normally but given the context, consenting non-related adults*

tbh the rise of moral policing in online communities directly parallels the rise of fascism irl and if we all don't stop doing that shit it will be too late for us

Let this be a lesson: never apologize to these parasites. They will take up arms for any excuse to pursue you. They don’t stand for anything. They will weaponize anything. They do not actually want you to “grow” or apologize for whatever crimes they accuse you of, nor will they acknowledge or care if you adhere to their arbitrary rules. They just want a punching bag. Claire was right the first time. The only way to deal with these people is by bullying them out of their spaces. The moral high ground gets you nowhere (we’ve learned this from republicans), you need to enforce consequences for people attacking you. They should become social outcasts and you should feel no guilt for doing to them what they try to do to everyone else.

@DGoweyAuthor @memilies Tbf a lot of people in the industry dont WANT it to be accessable. The class elitism is the point, only rich people can afford it because the industry only wants the rich to attend in the first place. This also goes for stuff like oil painting/trad printmaking/etc

"I want to work in a popular, commercial medium that reaches many people and is not culturally mothballed behind gates of financial accessibility, contextual distance, and education" is not a crazy thing for an actor to express or feel. just generally.

@dev0tionals I don't think you get how lucky you are because I am in the costal deep south and I've had terrible experiences. transgender people in new england go through this. we should focus on doctors killing transgender people instead of acting like it doesn't happen to passing men

Not only does my take come from op’s drawing, but the absolutely horrid amount of transphobia against femenine transmen I saw when I downloaded TikTok recetly. It absolutely broke my heart how a big chunk of the queer community hates when a queer person is even queerer

Absolutely shocking hot take: People should start caring about transphobia directed to transmen as they care about transphobia directed to transwomen. Because this image is spiritually the same as these transphobic caricatures.
