You can tell if the manga or novel is written by a woman or not by seeing its male lead. After all there is nothing women hate more than ugly and flawed men.

@r4pt0rking The irony is that by being so hypersensitive to such an event, they are creating the justification for it to happen again, kind of like the "chosen people" and their neurotic victimhood that ends up expressing itself in petty tyranny to justify their self fulfilling victimhood.

@wojtek_jk72mtk xDxD i've derailed out of life quite significantly. that's why i sound weird i'm an atheist. i found christianity and then now islam incredibly useful, no matter how much they are derided in india. pretending to follow religion is sufficient to let me get its benefits

@BereIKAberezIKA @Peperino_72 That’s why HxH feels unique to me, you’re seeing a completely different perspective through an eccentric character.

@BereIKAberezIKA @Peperino_72 That might be true for the average person, but Gon is different. Even his dynamic with his dad is different, he sees him as an idealized adventurer to admire and emulate rather than an actual father figure.

@BereIKAberezIKA She wants her yaoi characters to be a little ‘broken’ so she can get off to them.

@BereIKAberezIKA @AhoqeAhoqel the show never shoves any moral preaching about how they’re doing the ‘morally right’ thing. It uses the typical shonen framework friendship, chasing goals but it never actually treats those as morally correct or authoritative.

@BereIKAberezIKA @AhoqeAhoqel Leorio is probably the only character with that moralfagging compass, but it’s only shown as a grounding point of their group, it doesn’t say much about the entire narrative of the show. The villains aren’t even vilified (moral condemnation).

@AhoqeAhoqel @BereIKAberezIKA If you’re talking about Gon, he doesn’t have a coherent moral system; he acts on instinct and impulse. He operates on his personal code, not some ‘muh good person’ abstract morality.”

@AhoqeAhoqel @BereIKAberezIKA What moralfagging? HxH is one of the most morally ambiguous shows out there, and it’s not even morally consistent, likely intentionally.
