It was, though, a good Friday.

Got an emergency nine in this afternoon. Arrived at the course and realized my bag didn’t have a towel or a range finder. Barely had a sleeve of balls. Safe to say we have some kinks to work out still. Early season miscues!

Course rating and slope are two determining factors your handicap. These aren’t random; there’s a trove of volunteers who use standardized procedures to calculate these ratings. It’s not coincidence that Woodland win comes right after talking about his mental health struggles, I’d argue it’s actually a huge reason for it in fact. It’s so hard to walk around acting as if you’re ok when you’re not. Lying to everyone that you are ok, when you’re dying inside. I can’t imagine that feeling as a public figure like Gary. I hope this result for Gary helps other athletes and people to talk about their mental health struggles. Tell anyone. What a win.
