I did a ton of research using Claude Code and Codex and finally bought this one: Xiaomi Smart Kettle 2 Pro. Funnily enough, Xiaomi doesn't advertise it as “plastic-free”. I have tested it now for a few days and I am happy with it. imo perfect plastic free kettle. - The inner chamber is a single-piece / unibody 304 stainless steel unit. - The lid / top is made entirely of 304 stainless steel as well - no plastic or fancy stuff on the spout as well. just stainless steel. The material at the bottom near the temperature sensor is silicon (confirmed by xiaomi customer support via email). besides the whole plastic free topic, kettle looks very nice. essentialism / puristic. no fluff. also easy / good ux to set temperature. i dont really care about the smart home stuff. also dont have it connected to my phone. price is also good for 50 bucks or so. happy to answer any questions one have. took some images: imgur.com/a/8cTnDzQ cc @levelsio might be interesting for you

If you are using a Mac with 96GB RAM or more: Do not use Qwen3.6 27b. • Minimax M2.7 • Deepseek V4 Flash These two are much faster and smarter. Take advantage of the unified memory.

@aidenybai react-doctor doesn't recognize the main app. It keeps auto-selecting only the emails/ sub-project (which has its own package.json). The root TanStack Start project is invisible to the tool — likely .. expects frameworks like Next.js/CRA/Vite-React but doesn't recognize TanStack

$BTC Coinbase discount is increasing signaling more sell pressure. Shorts adding momentum on the way down, lovely.

While AWS is down I'm sitting here with my $4 Hetzner VPS, self-hosted landing pages and even self-hosted Supabase pulling 100k+ Steam requests per day without a single interruption. People have no idea how powerful it is to be in control of your own infrastructure. I could literally boot up an old PC with one of the daily backups and continue to run uninterrupted even if Hetzner went down. Might make a guide for this at some point. Everything is way too centralized today.
Alex@AlexBurlis

VPS + self-hosted Supabase is insanely overpowered. People just don't understand. I'm running multiple sites, analytics, personal tools, some backends and a full Supabase instance with a 24/7 scraper that clones all of steam, doing constant data transformations on 350k+ row tables for $7 on a Hetzner VPS + Coolify - all while having a full Dashboard interface for my DB that is 100x better than Firebase, AWS, etc. Super thankful for all the tools out there.

There are so many "boring" blogs from real systematic traders, that don't get any attention because they aren't fancy, but with tons of gold if you dig deep enough.
