I have catastrophic cover if expenses exceed a few thousand £ in a year, but I haven't needed it yet. My wife and I have been at the hospital every month pretty much getting various NHS neglected minor ailments checked out and also we have a new 3 month old baby that was birthed here in Thailand privately, just paid cash. It's been like the soviet guy seeing the American supermarket for the first time.

Thai private hospital experience so far…
Walked in → seen by a gastro specialist in 15 minutes.
Then told to provide a stool sample - currently being analysed by someone questioning their life choices.
Results and treatment within the hour.
No 8am phone call lottery for the chance of a call back with a GP 😉
5,000 THB so far… meds extra.
Oh and there’s a geezer playing Boyzone on a grand piano in the waiting area 😂

After getting used to the driving in Thailand, paradoxically it seems dangerous to stop for waiting pedestrians on multilane roads, no guarantee the next lane will stop and the other lanes won't see them either when they are in front of your car.
Even worse on a motorbike, stopping for pedestrians is a good way for someone to go up the back of you.

the “fix everything button” is to demonetize slop accounts banked in the third world. X pays out via Stripe and can see where youre based despite IP changes through travel or VPNs
All that happens now is Nigerian slop merchants use VPNs to recieve payouts to a Lagos bank account
