Feeling incredibly grateful and humbled to call Ireland 🇮🇪 my home. As an immigrant, 21 years ago, I noticed immediately how welcoming, friendly, and genuine the Irish people were. I've found more than just a new place to live; I've found a vibrant, warm, and welcoming community.
The kindness of the Irish people has touched me deeply, from strangers offering help and walking with me when lost, to receiving nods of admiration for my cultural attire. Every day, cheerful greetings make life brighter, and the respect among drivers is a testament to the profound courtesy here. These experiences highlight the unique values of Irish culture: kindness, generosity, respect, and community spirit.
Inspired by Irish giants like Yeats and Joyce, I pledge to cherish and protect these values. Thank you for letting me be part of the Irish story. Home is truly a feeling, a connection, and shared humanity. Go raibh míle maith agaibh. 🍀

@noel_beirne @Msoe_Dublin So you've done nothing, is what you're saying

@Msoe_Dublin I am. The blood sweat and tears of my ancestors are soaked deep into Irish soil. Generations of my family farmed worked lived and died on this island. They didn't do this so foreign invaders could freeload and spread their foreign idealogy. I will resist however I can

Assalamu Alaikum Everyone,
Tonight, we want to send out a heartfelt shout-out to the incredible team behind our Friday soup runs. Their dedication and hard work make the work we do possible week after week! From start to finish, they ensure everything runs smoothly, starting days in advance to guarantee success. This is a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes.
On Wednesday, we receive an order from Food Cloud, informing us about the food available for the week. This helps us assess what we already have and what we still need to gather.
By Thursday morning, we’re off to Lidl with a shopping list, picking up essentials like fruit, chocolates, water, tea, coffee, and milk. That same night and throughout Friday, our driver makes rounds to 10-15 Tescos, collecting additional items from the wide range of Food Cloud offerings.
Friday morning is when everything comes together. We meet with our driver to ensure we have enough food to serve between 400-500 people—the average number of people we support each week. Our goal is to provide not only a hearty meal but also fresh fruit, vegetables, pastries, bread, yogurt, cheese, and plenty of drinks.
Once the food is packed in the van, we coordinate with our team at the office to make sure we’re also stocked with sleeping bags, hats, gloves, and scarves for those who need them.
Before the soup run begins on Friday, our driver collects hot meals from generous Dublin restaurants, who help us provide warm meals for only €3 each. Once we arrive at the GPO, we conduct temperature checks on all hot food to meet HSE requirements. We also log our volunteer details, including proof of Garda vetting, and confirm that everyone handling food is HACCP L1 certified.
After three days of hard work from our dedicated team, the soup run is finally ready to serve those in need.
This entire process happens every week, from Wednesday to Friday, and none of it would be possible without the dedication of our incredible team. From placing orders and crunching numbers to making purchases and ensuring everything is packed and ready to go, every one of them plays a vital role in helping us serve our community.
So, a massive THANK YOU to each and every one of you! May God bless you all and reward you abundantly for your good deeds.

@itsrapha83 For all the cities of your list I've visited (and I live in one of them) I have to agree! Now just need to visit the high scoring ones I haven't.

Okay but does ANYONE know what he’s up to? Is he even alive? Does he even do anything or is he just living off the song’s revenue

@Mick_O_Keeffe I welcome any person who wants to make Ireland their home
English

Irish people listen up ;
You have good hearts and you are kind people but that will be your downfall.
Hundreds of thousands of foreigners are entering Ireland every year with the intention of making our home theirs.
I've seen a lot of people be very easily manipulated into accepting asylum seekers or refugees when they're told that they are families or they come from Palestine or Ukraine.
Families use more resources than anyone. Their young boys will grow up to be men who resent you. You are competing with them for housing and doctors etc.
Then Palestinians, firstly most of them aren't from Palestine. They're just saying that that to pull on your heart strings. Secondly, why would they not resettle in a nearby muslim country? 🤔
In Kerry muslims have raised over €1.1 million to expand their Islamic center.
We are being replaced in our own country and your kindness only hastens that replacement.
We can have our own country where our children have a future, or we can be kind to foreigners.
