Yesterday, I had the honour of performing the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 1,200 housing units under the Federal Housing Authority’s Renewed Hope Housing Project in Umuahia. This landmark project, made possible through the collaboration between the Federal Government and the Abia State Government, makes Abia the first state in the South East, and among the first five states in Nigeria, to partner with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration on this initiative. I sincerely thank His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the project and commend the MD/CEO of the Federal Housing Authority, Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, and his team for their commitment. Together, we are expanding access to affordable housing and improving the welfare of our people. Before authorising the groundbreaking, we ensured that verified landowners among the host communities were duly compensated. Out of about 900 claimants, over 800 have already been settled in full, while the remaining are encouraged to resolve bank or ownership issues so they can access their payments, which are already deposited in the bank. As I emphasized during the ceremony, our focus remains on people-oriented projects that uplift lives, beyond the distractions of politics, ethnicity, or religion. The welfare of Abians will continue to be our priority.

What's the correlation between the explanation between what @Riddwane replied to and landlord charging for solar permit.?. Btw do you know that you would alter some electrical &physical fittings to install solar in a residential building?? So who would pay for repairs of those fittings when you stop living in such apartment,,?🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
Tosin.X@Dontee___

This is dangerous because Landlord's will soon start charging tenants for Solar permit and it will worsen the current rent crisis in the state.

The rise of the gig economy, remote work, digital platforms, and new employment models has created gaps in legal protection for millions of workers. As Minister of State for Labour and Employment, I recognized the urgent need to modernize our labour laws to reflect contemporary realities while maintaining core protections for workers. We initiated reviews of outdated provisions, engaged stakeholders on emerging issues, and explored how to extend legal protections to workers in non-traditional employment arrangements who currently operate in legal grey areas. We also worked to strengthen enforcement mechanisms because laws without effective enforcement offer little protection. We examined best practices from other jurisdictions, consulted with the International Labour Organization, and sought to align Nigerian labour law with international standards while respecting our unique context. As I prepare to serve Nigerians, labour law reform will be among my topmost priorities. We must ensure that whether a Nigerian works in a factory, an office or from home, they enjoy adequate legal protections, fair treatment, and access to justice when their rights are violated.

I never see our own Osun Dancer seriously inspecting projects like. He never meant the business of the people. But Dancing around like a baby, Partying from Atlanta to Miami and mismanaging funds is the order of the day.

Recently, Governor Oyebanji Inspected some ongoing projects within the state capital, Ado-Ekiti. These projects include: the Okeyinmi-Ajilosun Flyover Bridge, Indoor Sports Complex, 80+ Bed Medical Facility at EKSUTH, and a new courtroom facility at the High Court Complex.

TRULY, WIZKID WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE ADELEKE's. This morning, I woke up with a heavy heart, asking myself one question: why are our leaders so callous? Watch this video carefully. An ally of Governor Adeleke, Dr. Biyi Odunlade, is seen handing out ₦500 and a sachet of water to the people of Osun State. Not jobs. Not infrastructure. Not hope—just ₦500 and a sachet of water. This is what they think of you, people of Osun. This is your worth in their eyes. After receiving a trillion-naira allocation from the Federal Government, this is all they have to offer while the people continue to suffer. This is not just SAD, it is deeply insulting.

This development is true, but the man who made the video seems to be misinformed about the Lagos State Government’s guidelines for installing solar energy systems in social housing estates. He is likely to be a tenant in one of these social housing estates owned by the Lagos State Government. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have raised concerns about something that was clearly outlined in the indemnity document he signed before the Government handed over the apartment to him after purchase. Now, to the issue: the Lagos State Government DOES NOT charge all residents living in the State for a permit to install solar power systems for domestic use in their homes, as the video suggested. ONLY residents living in the government-owned social housing estates are charged administrative fees for Alterations, such as installation of solar power system, before any additional development can be permitted. The reason for this is that, the State Government is responsible for maintaining facilities in its social housing estates. There is public electricity supply system already installed in the Estates. Installation of additional power system is taken as an alteration to the original design and functionality of an Estate building. Any alteration must be run through the Physical Planning and Survey departments of the Ministry of Housing for approval, material compliance and post-inspection checks. Those solar power systems are usually installed by occupants in shared areas; so this alteration must be approved by the facility manager (Government) before any occupant can proceed. The man in the video obviously did not apply for an approval before embarking on such alteration. The uniformed men seen in the video are from the Monitoring and Compliance Unit of the Ministry. The Government has had to deal with liability from unpermitted alterations by estate residents, including leaking roofs and severe damage caused by fire. So, the simple rule for any estate occupant is to contact the State Government (facility manager) for an approval for any external alteration they want to undertake in their building. If an unpermitted alteration affects the entire property, other occupants will hold the government responsible.

From the streets of Agege to the big stage. This is what purpose, discipline, and opportunity can create. Vinod FA was built to give young boys a path away from the streets through football. Today, that vision is speaking loud: from NLO 2 to NLO 1 in just one season, and now semi-finalists in the Lagos State FA Cup at our very first attempt, overcoming strong teams like First Bank and L City FC along the way. 77 teams started. 4 remain. And we are one of them. This is more than football. This is youth development. This is belief. This is Agege rising. The journey continues. ⚽🔥 #VinodFA #agege #avo #avoisworking #anewagegeisrising
