In 2023, at the peak of the Biden administration's efforts to impose Woke ideology on the country and the military, I was punished for publicly standing against transgenderism and promoting sexual immorality to children. My character and career were attacked in the process. I helped organize citizens to get "drag queen story hour" out of the Pocatello public library, and I campaigned on protecting children from radical gender ideology. I did this as a private citizen and out of uniform. The complaint against me was fabricated based on my religious and political views, not my performance or actions, and was later found to be unsubstantiated. I paid a professional price for standing for Christian morality in the public square. I would pay that price again. Unlike many who seek elected office, I have a public record that I will stand and sacrifice to fight for truth. My opponent and his allies call me a "failed officer." I have received awards and citations throughout my career, including two Meritorious Service Medals and the Bronze Star. I still hold a commission in the Idaho Army National Guard. I am an Iraq War veteran who has deployed as an enlisted soldier, an infantry platoon leader, and an infantry company commander. I deployed domestically as part of a task force to put down the 2020 Antifa and BLM riots in Richmond and other cities in Virginia. I have spent my entire adult life in the armed forces and have faced our nation's enemies, both foreign and domestic. My opponent and his allies will do anything to avoid talking about his liberal voting record. They cannot defend his votes to let men into women's changing areas or to give welfare benefits to illegal aliens. They do not want to talk about him using his chairmanship to bury Second Amendment bills, tax cuts, and pro-life bills in his drawer.
