@PGoodDMD @HerndonforIdaho @IAM41776311 It is not Idaho its the YMCA, the Idaho gov does not have control over such organizations. If everyone stops going to the YMCA then it will close, which if fine with me. Then one can go to local gym where they recognize male and female real biology.

My name is Jennifer Hook. I’m a lifeguard at the YMCA litehouse branch in Sandpoint Idaho. On Wednesday, October 15, at approximately 1:50 PM, I was doing my locker room checks and found a man semi-dressed (he had a bra on and a towel around his waist) as a woman, coming out of the shower. I did not see his genitalia, but I could tell that this was a man . I commented to him on the amount of stuff he had with him because it was a lot of clothing and toiletry items. He distinctly had a male voice when he laughed and mumbled as his reply to me. I did not confront him  but continued to observe him to make sure that I was really seeing what I thought I saw. I then confirmed that he was a man noticing that he had a male chest under the bra and no breasts. I checked the rest of the locker room to make sure that there was no vulnerable people or children in there and then I went outside the locker room to the front desk to my superiors to tell them that there was a man in the women’s locker room and somebody needed to call 911 as I do not carry my phone or have my phone with me while working. After I told the facility manager and the aquatics director that there was a man in the women’s locker room they both told me that there was nothing that we could do about that and that the YMCA allows “that” per company policy. I then asked them to look up the policy and show me along with the state laws regarding this. I had no idea that this was the case .They showed me the policy, but we couldn’t really find the state laws. I then immediately went to my locker,in the same locker room, passing by the man and his companion who was a woman.(and probably his friend as they were sitting next to each other preparing to do hair and make up.) I also stopped and talked to them again regarding her phone usage in the locker room as we have signs up prohibiting phone usage in the locker room per privacy policy . The female that was with the man complied and put her phone away . I got my phone out of my locker room and proceeded to just outside the pool deck and called  911 myself. I relayed the incident to the 911 operator she took my information and said she would dispatch it. Just a minute or two later the Sandpoint Police Department called me back. Sergeant Ziegler badge number SP 18 called me and told me that there were no laws being broken and there was nothing that they could do. He also told me that if I wanted to make a difference that I needed to contact my legislature to make changes to the laws. I was beside myself to say the least. During this time I alerted my coworker/other lifeguard, and I also alerted some of the members who were in the pool area that there was a man in the women’s locker room as they needed to be informed. It wasn’t long after that that the man and his friend/companion were gone from the locker room, but before they left, they did their hair and make up and got dressed. I finished my shift and got off the pool deck at 3:35 PM. #idleg #idpol
