People need to understand that it's called "donating" to ao3 because it's voluntary and they don't make a profit, but in practice it's just people paying for their entertainment. It's not more morally questionable than giving your money to a streaming platform owned by a corp.

If you're pro censoring the fiction you personally find reprehensible, and believe that someone isn't going to come along and censor the things YOU like because THEY find them reprehensible, then you're in for a big surprise when your stuff is gone and you were complicit in it.

It is not work. The workplace safety requirements are drastically different for prostitutes than for example my lab work dealing with sexually transmitted pathogens. I have to wear a long sleeve lab coat, gloves that also cover my wrists, safety glasses and a biosafety cabinet just to handle chlamydia, gonorrhoea, and other pathogens. But somehow it is acceptable for prostitutes to have these pathogens inserted into all of their orifices just because they are on a man’s sex organ and he will have a release? Next they will force women into prostitution to collect unemployment. There is this two tier legal and two tier safety regulations because they clearly do not value the lives of these prostituted victims. Just insane. Sex is not work, and prostitution is illegal or legal grape depending on local laws.

@purity_culture crazy how op is completely missing the point of therapy too. therapists arent there to agree with your every opinion and feeling, theyre to help you as an outside onlooker. that means challenging your beliefs and thoughts for the better. you gotta be willing to change in therapy
