@iamtheengine @virginmedia Broadband eventually came back after 5.5 hours. Luckily I'm due a contract renewal, and as virgin didn't want to match a black Friday deal for new customers for a 27 year customer I'm switching providers.

I'm on the @virginmedia roundabout; 1. check online for broadband issues 2. Website bot confirms there is an outage and suggest calling 3. Call and get through to auto answer 4. They confirm there is an outage and send a text 5. Follow link in text to website... Return to 1.

@virginmedia I called again and used the thinking about leaving us' option as that seemed most appropriate. Spoke with a human who confirmed the outage but couldn't give a resolution time, took my number and said I'd be kept informed. No contact. No surprise.

I’m trying to follow the great farming debate but, as an economics illiterate, I’m baffled. If a farm has a nominal value of, say, £3m but generates an income of only c. £40k, how can it really be worth that much? This is not, bt dubs, a loaded question. I’m interested.

To add, the #Biden administration also considered UK less useful after #brexit.

All the UK based #Trump supporters thinking that support will spare them from any negative impacts of the 'America first' policies that could now follow. We were useful to the #USA as an #EU member state, now we're just NON-US, same as the majority of other countries.

So far I've seen celebration of 'the other side' being upset, not a lot of celebration of the things #Trump will do to improve the lives of ALL Americans.

What problem is the #nationalservice policy designed to solve?

I cant help thinking this #nationalservice policy is a way of suggesting young people are somehow to blame for the state of the country (adding to a long list of scapegoats). Like if only we could sort out the people who can't even vote we might get better governments.
