@gdb Not liking Extended Thinking in ChatGPT. It misses some details and only brings them up if I point it towards that. I'm comparing it directly with Opus 4.7 Adaptive on Claude and opus is bringing me more detailed, relevant, helpful response. 5.5 feels smart but doesn't act smart.

@scaling01 I already feel like a second rate citizen on Pro plan with those abysmal limits. With a big feature like this being removed Pro plan will become a glorified taster plan. We have to remember that Pro plan is already quite expensive when compared to other subscriptions we pay.

@scaling01 My pro subscription has been reaching limits from chats alone using 4.7 while 4.6 was ok. Also because 4.7 adheres to instructions better it tends to output more.

The 4.7 tokenizer treats whitespace as separate tokens? A string consisting of 50 one-token words separated by Whitespace tokenizes to ~50 more tokens than with the 4.6 tokenizer. If so, the 1.35x more token estimate seems way too low.
