I think we can do a better job of showing the math and logic behind our decisions rather than relying on broad principles. I think many of the original SM team members are first principles thinkers but a slightly new approach would help make things easier to understand.

Some games like @AxieInfinity seem to have a lot of plans to address these issues, but at this point it mostly seems like just plans. I'm still optimistic about the future of the space, though.

The successful, sustainable, games will be the ones that figure out more compelling reasons for players to spend and hold their tokens in game rather than cashing out to fiat while keeping inflation in check. I haven't really seen any game that does this effectively yet.

A big problem with current play to earn games is that their token is inflationary while offering very little utility. In real world economies inflation isn't necessarily a bad thing because it encourages spending which fuels further economic activity.
