@irmelville @TomLondon6 @theleftbible @TheGreenParty @UKLabour They’ll probably vote LibDem, Green or Independent I’d have thought.
The important thing is to eradicate the faux left funded by the Super rich.
English

@fuzzfoster @TomLondon6 @theleftbible @TheGreenParty @UKLabour If the centrists have no where to go… what do you think happens then?
English

I think @TheGreenParty should not put up a candidate in Makerfield but should say they support Burnham
It is absolutely crucial that Reform do not win
Burnham already supports Proportional Representation. He should make a pledge to the Greens to pursue this as prime minister

@TomLondon6 @Redcountessa @TheGreenParty Until the Labour Party is dead and buried there is no fight.
Their demise is the priority. They will always suck up left energy and disperse it harmlessly in the interest of fascists.
Only when they are buried can we really defeat Reform.

He is not the squeaky clean politician he is being made out to be. Burnham has kept this quiet hasn't he - BlackRock's joint venture (JV) with the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF), the UK's largest Local Government Pension Scheme. Announced in late March 2026, the partnership targets up to £1 billion in UK primary healthcare real estate (NHS-leased GP surgeries, primary care centres, and related facilities) by 2030.
Does nobody realise how deeply Andy Burnham is involved in the scam that Freeports and SEZ's are costing taxpayers £84 billion+?

@JoeAccetturo @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics The private sector’s better at taking profit that’s all. Which is why our private housing sector has such high rents.
Likewise energy dearest in Europe, and don’t go swimming in the sea or rivers, because they’re full of faecal matter.
All good though because of the profit. 🙄
English

Because the state can't manage anything properly. That is the problem. They have no incentive to be efficient and they only know how to waste resources which always make what ever they attempt to fix far worse and cost far more than the private sector. The govt should be for making guardrails not operating businesses.
English

@proboriented @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz I don’t do security checks to read articles sorry.
Why do you not want to furnish this name, which is so obviously above all the names I have mentioned?🤔

@proboriented @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz Answer the question please.
Written by whom?
English

@fuzzfoster @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz There is a paper: the site is doing a completely standard check where you click a box to protect against ddosing.
English

@proboriented @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz Civil servants act for whoever is in power.
Politicians are the problem, and taking the money out of politics the long game.
We could always have armed struggle of course.
What’s your solution Elon/Alan?
Give the super rich more & await the trickle down?
English

@fuzzfoster @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz It's also kinda funny that you're shilling for more money and power for the state when politicians and civil servants are bought and paid for by the rich people you claim to hate amazon.co.uk/Bootleggers-Ba…
English

@proboriented @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz There wasn’t a paper. Only a security site of which I was expected to sign up to.
Sorry not doing that.
Was it written by anyone who has won a Nobel prize in economics like @JosephEStiglitz ? See 2025 G20 Global Inequality Report.

English

@fuzzfoster @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @JosephEStiglitz Do you know of a specific criticism of the paper I linked? And if we're going to consider funding Piketty works at various academic institutions en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Pi… funded by the state so should we discount his advocacy for the state as shilling?
English

@SangitaMyska @mrsDugskullery We must keep pushing the neoliberal free market agenda, even if watered down or hidden out of public sight.
It’s working so well.

The King's Speech and cost-of-living crisis.
2.73m England households live in fuel poverty.
4.5m-6.1m can't adequately heat homes.
Since 2020 energy companies made £125bn profit.
120000 Britons die in fuel poverty annually
Yet no curbs on profiteering

@DMented_Avenger Declaration or registration of gifts doesn't end political bribery. Politicians are still on sale to the rich.
We need to criminalise the receipt and payment of all political donations and end second/third jobs for all legislators.
English

@proboriented @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics He’s wrong? Says who?
Because that also means @JosephEStiglitz , Jeffrey Sachs, Angus Deaton, Gabriel Zuckman, and many many more are.
Only economists paid for by the super rich are correct?
Do you honestly believe people will fall for this total bullshit?
English

@fuzzfoster @JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics He cites Piketty, who is wrong on matters of both fact and theory papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…
English

@JimNorCal @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics The inequality obviously has nothing to do with the only cohort getting richer?
The cohort that has the money, the land, the assets, the power, the media, & who buy the politicians?
It’s all the fault of the boat migrants, who have no money, no power, no land, assets, or vote.🙄

English

@fuzzfoster @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics So (minor): govt waste
And (major): people are poor because the wealthy are hoovering up all the wealth
In his example of renters paying a large chunk of income compared to a homeowner I didn't see where he compared a Briton paying rent vs a migrant getting free housing though.
English

@darthgosu @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics He literally did a masters in economics at Oxford, and a degree at LSE, plus worked on the trading floor. He’s paid a whole lot more than Larry Elliot at the Guardian.
That makes him an economist.
Btw you don’t have to be an electrician to spot a loose wire.
English

@andresz06 @PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics The programs aren’t socialist anymore, because the State assets are privately owned.

English

@PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics I can't like this statement enough! Always looking for more taxpayer dollars, never look internally to see what waste, fraud, socialist programs to cut.
English

@PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics "the highest tax burden since WWII"
And consider how desperate those times were. The nation was wondering if they could provide sufficient nutrition to expectant mothers
I'm at a loss to describe what the tax money is being used for now.
